THIS IS A SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE ONLY. This is not a solicitation or request for quotes and no contract will be awarded from this notice. There is no solicitation, specifications or drawings available at this time, except as noted below.

Military Sealift Command Norfolk has a requirement for the USNS GRASP (T-ARS 51) for a Mid-Term Availability (MTA), on/about January 15, 2024 for 61 days. The place of performance will be at a Contractor’s facility located within the United States, to include HI, and AK.

While the finalized list of work items is still under development, a draft list is separately attached to this notice and a list of the noteworthy work is as follows:

1) General Services for Ship

2) TARS_CCSI Flight Deck Preservation

3) TARS_CSI_Main Propulsion Diesel Engine – Major Overhaul

4) TARS_CSI_Main Propulsion Diesel Engine – Minor Overhaul (10K Hours)

5) TARS_CCSI Antenna Maintenance

6) TARS_CSI Marotta Air Regulator Valve Refurbishment

7) TARS_CSI_SS Diesel Engine – Minor Overhaul (10K Hours)

8) TARS_CCSI_Annual Rescue Boat and Davit Inspection

9) TARS_CSI_Reduction Gear Inspection (5 YR)

10) TARS_CSI_Automation and Propulsion Control Inspection and Test (1 YR)

Please provide a response demonstrating your firm’s experience in performing similar work. This procurement will be solicited under NAICS Code 336611, Ship Building and Repair, which has a size standard of 1,300 employees. Indicate if your company is a large or small business, and if a small business, indicate if you fall within any of the further classifications (HUBZone, SDVOSB, WOSB, etc.)

Please provide your response to this sources sought notice by 10:00 AM EDT Norfolk, VA time on May 10, 2023. Submissions may be made by e-mail to colin.j.edick.civ@us.navy.mil. Submission of a capabilities statement is not a prerequisite to any potential future offerings, but participation will assist the Government as to the extent of shipyards available for this procurement. The Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received from potential sources as a result of this notice.
