Set-aside Status: N/A THIS IS A SYNOPSIS NOTICE ONLY for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format and procedures in FAR Part 12, FAR Part 15, and FAR Subpart Part 16.5 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. MSC intends to award a Multiple Award Indefinite Delivery, Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) contract with a five-year ordering period. Task Orders and Delivery orders will be firm-fixed price. This is not a Request for Quote/Proposal/Bid and no contract or purchase order will be awarded as a result of this notice. There is no solicitation, specifications, or drawings available at this time.
The purpose for this requirement is to facilitate worldwide services and supplies for shipboard fixed and portable firefighting systems for the MSC fleet worldwide. These services will provide all personnel, material and equipment to maintain and support firefighting and fire extinguishing appliances sufficient to accomplish annual surveys, inspections, overhauls, certification and re-certification of the vessel’s shipboard/maritime firefighting systems and equipment on MSC vessels. The vessels may be berthed at Government owned or Government furnished piers, or underway in the Continental United States (CONUS) waters and outside Continental United States (OCONUS) locations.
