About this file

This document amends a request for proposals for a tanker voyage charter issued by the Military Sealift Command Norfolk, Strategic Sealift Program Support Office. The amendment increases the maximum deadweight tonnage allowed for vessels at the load port from 40,000 metric tons to 45,000 metric tons. Vessel owners may re-measure tonnage at the load port at their own expense, and the most current measurement certificate must reflect the new tonnage, provided the original registered tonnage is below 60,000 metric tons, the maximum allowed at the discharge port of Killingholme. Vessels with an original registration over 60,000 metric tons will be rejected if re-measured below 45,000 metric tons, as they will not be permitted to berth at the Killingholme terminal. All other terms and conditions of the request for proposals remain unchanged.

The solicitation number is N3220521R4215 and seeks tanker voyage charters for the Department of the Navy Military Sealift Command. Vessels must meet revised maximum deadweight restrictions at load and discharge ports. The amendment provides details on allowable re-measurement of vessels to meet tonnage limits.
