16. Description: MSC intends to award a contract for the ROH/DD of the USNS MERCY (T-AH 19) to be performed on the West Coast, Hawaii, or Gulf Coast. This work package includes approximately 170 work items with a sample of Work Items to be accomplished list below:

4) JP-5 Fuel Test Lab and Mission Ramp

5) Boiler Inspection and Hydro

6) Extended Service Life Plan (ESLP) – Plumbing System Phase 2

7) ESLP – Plumbing Drain Piping Renewal

8) ESLP Lifeboat Replacement

9) Freeboard spot preservation – TAH

10) V-22 Flight Deck Modifications

11) Docking and Undocking

12) ESLP – SSTG Overhaul

13) Switchboard Cleaning (2.5 YR)

14) Boiler Inspection and Hydro (2.5 YR)

15) Special Survey-Tank Inspections (5 YR)

16) ESLP – TLI Sensor Installation Phase 2

17. The decision to solicit full and open was based on Market Research. MSC received interest from no small businesses under NAICS 336611, which has a size standard of 1,250 employees. The MSC Small Business representative concurs with decision to solicit full and open.
