Description:
This is not a solicitation, request for quote, or proposal. No contract or purchase order will be awarded from this notice. The Military Sealift Command has a requirement for the time charter of one U.S. Flag Jones Act compliment tanker to be used to support worldwide bulk fuel requirements of the U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) with the following particulars: one clean, approved, coated, U.S. Flag Jones Act double hull tanker that is capable of carrying 310,000 bbls of at least two clean petroleum products in designated cargo tanks with double valve isolation. The purpose of this procurement is to ensure that the Government is mission ready to meet its needs in the most effective, economical, and timely manner. Currently, contract N62387-15-C-5405, for the time charter of M/T EMPIRE STATE, is provided by American Petroleum Tankers, LLC. The current time charter ends 20 August 2020. This contract requires the Contractor to obtain and maintain a SECRET facilities clearance and to employ personnel with SECRET security clearances.
The estimated issue date for this solicitation is on or about 31 January 2020. Upon issuance, the solicitation and supporting documentation will be posted and can be found on FEDBIZOPS (https://www.fbo.gov/) under solicitation number N32205-20-R-3506. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. All respondents must provide a Commercial and Government Entity (CAGE) Code. The appropriate NAICS Code is 483111.
There are no responses due based on this pre-solicitation notice and the Government is not obligated to and will not pay for any information received for this notice.
MSC also requests interested parties submit any questions regarding the requirement to the POCs listed above.
