1.1 This item describes diving services for underwater hull cleaning and inspection.

3.1 Location
3.1.1 Underwater hull
3.1.1.1 Port and starboard demi-hull underwater surfaces (Aluminum with Intersleek coating)
3.1.1.2 Waterjets, shafting and impellers
3.1.1.3 Sea chest NACA inlet ducts
3.1.1.4 Transducers and reference cells

5.0 NOTES
5.1 The contractor and all subcontractors, regardless of tier must consult the General Technical Requirements (GTR) to determine applicability to this work item. In performance of this work item, the contractor and all subcontractors regardless of tier must comply with the requirements of all applicable GTR’s.
5.2 The contractor and all subcontractors, regardless of tier are advised to review other work items under this contract to determine their effect on the work required under this work item. Many of the definitions relating to performance of this work item are found in Work Item 001.
6.0 QUALITY ASSURANCE REQUIREMENTS
6.1 The contractor shall document the findings as stated in this SOW and provide a report.
7.0 STATEMENT OF WORK REQUIRED
7.1 Furnish services of ABS approved divers to perform inspection and cleaning of the entire underwater hull listed in section 3.1. No brushes shall be used during cleaning. Hull coating system is Intersleek and shall be cleaned iaw the following:
7.1.1 Perform initial hull inspection of fouling and, appendages and hull condition.
7.1.2 Perform initial cleaning with fan jet nozzles with 1000 to 2000 psi. Perform thorough cleaning of four (4) each stainless waterjet impellers and waterjet stator vanes, forward and aft sides of blades using reference 2.2 as guidance. Aft side of blades will require special tools in order to access the blades from the forward (inlet tunnel) end and through the aft side waterjet assembly. Provide detailed pictures to MSCREP depicting cleaned impellers to include the entire forward and aft side of each impeller blade.
7.1.3 Provide video report to MSCREP detailing any fouling not effected prior to performance of para 7.1.2.
7.1.4 Upon approval of MSCREP, all fouling that is not removed in para 7.1.2 shall be cleaned with rotary jet nozzles at up to 3000 psi.
7.2 Record the results of all work. Provide an electronic copy of the completed cleaning and epoxy to MSCREP.
