Text version

MATERIALS, FIT UP AND WELDING TO SURVEYOR'S SATISFACTION.

Comment L-001:

In accordance with NVIC 9-97, Section 3.7.2, all ventilation ducts must be constructed of noncombustible materials. However, short sections of combustible materials must meet the criteria for low flame spread. Therefore, in order to accept the proposed FRP replacement of the duct, please submit the appropriate certificates confirming the low flame spread characteristics to the attending Surveyor satisfaction.
