QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
The following are answers to questions received from offerors during discussions held from 8 July to 10 July 2014 with all offerors within the competitive range. The answers provide clarification only and DO NOT constitute an amendment to the solicitation.
1. NOTES TO ALL OFFERORS:
A. All offerors are reminded that documents and certifications submitted in response to the solicitation should be reviewed and updated to ensure all documentation is current.
B. All offerors are reminded that only revisions/corrections based on the discussions and Items for Discussions as noted are required to be submitted as a part of the final proposal revisions. Please number pages in accordance with the original proposal submission and clearly reference the originating material.
C. All offerors are reminded that final proposal revisions are required to be submitted in accordance with the initial solicitation instructions to offerors under N32205-13-R-6007.
2. Will MSC accept permits/licenses/ or certifications from hotels showing these on hotel stationary if the hotel does not have current proof of the permits/licenses/ or certifications?
ANSWER: No, MSC will not accept anything other than a valid, current certification for the hotel for all required certifications. If a certification is not available due to a city or county statute or regulation then the offeror must then document clearly the lack of availability due to this county or city regulation or statute.
3. How does MSC handle cancellation or late fees for Civil Service Mariners once the hotel contract is awarded?
ANSWER: There is no cancellation or late fee addressed as the hotel is required to accept all Civil Service Mariners regardless of reservations when they come to the hotel. The reservation system is not compulsory and the Mariners are not therefore required to utilize this prior to arrival.
