The contractor must design, order, deliver, install, and provide a complete bill of materials and quotation for Kimball brand furniture components, including systems furniture cubicles, hot seat workstations, enclosed private offices, and ancillary furniture such as chairs, tables, storage solutions, and accessories. The furniture specifications require compatibility with existing Kimball brand finishes and components previously procured to maintain aesthetic cohesion and interoperability, with Kimball "Narrate" frame-and-tile panel systems, "Priority Height-Adjust" electric tables, and integrated power and data infrastructure. The contractor must complete all work by United States persons only, deliver 100% design AutoCAD drawings upon installation completion, conduct product inspections and freight claim resolution, remove all packaging and installation waste, and ensure no damage to the new facility.

The first floor requires 62 cubicle workstations (various configurations), 4 hot seat workstations, 5 enclosed offices, 48 power/data poles, 18 data poles, and 353 pieces of ancillary furniture including task chairs, guest chairs, conference tables, storage towers, and wall-mounted accessories. The second floor requires 103 cubicle workstations (various configurations), 5 hot seat workstations, 7 enclosed offices, 85 power/data poles, 38 data poles, and 356 pieces of ancillary furniture. Materials must be delivered within 10 weeks of award, with the contractor responsible for residing within 100 miles of the facility to respond to issues timely. Products must include a minimum 10-year general warranty with 5 years on fabric and workmanship and 10 years on electrical components. Listing of Furniture Products Requested:

· Systems Furniture Cubicles Cubicle workstations are constructed with the Kimball “Narrate” frame-and-tile furniture panel system with Kimball “Priority Height-Adjust” electric tables in various widths, Kimball “Footprint” panel supported 36”w overhead storage and fixed-height worksurface with mobile freestanding storage and Kimball “Perks” accessories.

Structural panel “frames” are typically 68” tall and are be enclosed with primarily fabric-covered, fire-rated, tackable “tiles” installed below framed frosted-glass tiles. Panel frames against walls or that serve as the common spine that delivers power and data to each workstation will not include glass at the top. (Acoustic Ratings for Fire Rated tiles are NRC =.75 and STC = 12.) Each workstation requires one (1) Technology Tile installed on one spine panel below the range of the height-adjustable tabletop and above the panels powered base raceway. The Technology tile has a painted lower section with three (3) data port cut-outs that are 2-3/4”W x 1-7/16”H and fabric covered upper section. Each 6’x8’ workstation also includes one (1) 2’h x 48’w magnetic dry-erase marker tile facing into the users’ chair space.

The panel system must provide a data cable pathway from the ceiling plenum down through the furniture vendor provided data & power poles. The pole includes an interior divider to separate data cables from the electrical feed. Data cables will be routed by the Navy through data-only poles for the secure network cables and power/data poles for the unsecure network. Secure network cabling will exit the data pole into the lay-in raceway at the top of each panel and be routed horizontally to each workstation where cables will be routed down to the Technology tile and terminated. Unsecure cabling will be routed through the power/data pole and continue down through the interior of the furniture panel frame to the base of the panel and routed laterally to the location and terminated. Each workstation will have one base raceway cover with an open data port cut-out, without a power block behind it, to accept a Navy-provided multi-port furniture bezel or faceplate. Panels along the spine and the first panel off the spine will be powered in the base using the 8-wire, 4-circuit modular electrical system with three duplex receptacles provided at each workstation, located only in the base of the panels. Generally, each power entry will service two up to a maximum of three workstations. Specific counts of power entries per floor are estimated below.

Unless stated otherwise, panel trim and base wire way covers are painted metal. Fabric tiles are to be quoted in price grade B fabric to allow an adequate range for selection by the Navy. Work surface tops are high-pressure laminate. Glass tiles are to be “frosted” tempered glass.

Workstation are planned in two different orientations with one having the entrance on the long side and the other having the entrance on the short side of the station. Wherever possible, a non-locking rolling privacy door is added to the entrance of the workstation for privacy. Each typical workstation includes similar components and accessories that are sized differently because of station size and orientation. Typical stations include an “extended straight” 3-leg electric height-adjustable table that adjusts from 26” to 42-1/4” and each will include: one non-programmable control switch; one above-surface clamp-mounted duplex-outlet power accessory (without USB ports); two undersurface-mounted, adjustable, and swiveling CPU holders; one 14” cable management basket; four cable gripper wire managers; one under-surface mounted six-outlet power strip; and one vertical leg-attached cable manager. The height adjustable tabletop includes three grommets for vertical cord passage. The tables top includes a curved front edge in the corner for user comfort. Table size is reduced intentionally by 2” to relieve pinch points with panels. This approach leaves a 1” gap between all sides of the height adjustable table and the panels. Workstation sizes are summarized for each floor below.

· “Hot Seat” workstations

Hot Seat workstations are constructed of the same (Kimball “Narrate”) systems furniture line as the L-shaped cubicles with a (Kimball “Xsede Height-Adjust”) rectangular electric height-adjustable table and (Kimball “Footprint”) cushion/box/file mobile storage. Hot Seat workstations will be wrapped with structural panel frames that will be enclosed with primarily fabric-covered fire-rated tackable tiles below framed frosted glass tiles. Panel frames against walls or panels that serve as the common spines that deliver power and data to each station will not include glass at the top. Hot Seat workstations have an overall panel height of 68”. The table adjusts from 26” to 42-1/2”. Each table includes: two grommets for vertical cord passage; one above-surface clamp-mounted duplex-outlet power accessory (without USB ports); one 14” cable management basket; two cable gripper style wire managers; one under-surface mounted six-outlet power strip; and one undersurface-mounted, adjustable, and swiveling CPU holder and one freestanding LED Task Light. Chairs are included in the Ancillary Furniture Listing.

· Enclosed Private Offices Private offices include L-shaped electric height-adjustable breakfront-style “desks” with shroud which are detailed as follows.

The L-shaped electric height adjustable “desks” are to have high-pressure laminate horizontal surfaces with “breakfront” style main desk sized at 30"D x 72"W and the desk return sized at 24”D x 42”W or 48”W, as quantified below. This laminate “desk” includes a metal shroud that is attached to the underside of the main desk surface which raises and lowers with the top, completely hiding the knee-space and any cords and accessories mounted to the underside. The modesty panel on breakfront models is inset 5". The attached height-adjustable return has an open back for wall access and the whole L-desk is adjusted with one switch through a height range of 28-29⁄32" – 45" from the floor to the top of the desk surface. Each desk includes: one non-programmable control switch; one above-surface clamp-mounted duplex-outlet power accessory (without USB ports); one 14” cable management basket; four gripper style wire managers; one under-surface mounted six-outlet power strip, and one freestanding LED Task Light. The height adjustable tabletop includes three grommets (left and right on the main desk and centered in the return) for vertical cord passage. Laminate surface materials are used for the desk, and ancillary bookcases, tables and mobile pedestals in the offices. The ancillary furniture, task seating and atypical furniture for the is offices is included in the Ancillary Furniture Listing.
