Aerodrome Industry Questions to Aerodrome Specs
I did not see a Berry Amendment compliance requirement in your solicitation. Is this a requirement? The Berry Amendment does not apply to procurements under Simplified Acquisition Procedures (SAP).
What will the tent be used for? Airfield operations or storage of aircraft similar to a hangar or will it be used for airfield operations, planning, weather, etc. The enclosure will be used as an aerodrome for small Group I/II unmanned aerial vehicles, Airfield Ops.
Is there any variation allowed on the 30 foot side wall? The peak is 40 foot plus or minus 2 feet. No mention of a + or minus 2 feet on the side walls. The Government has a minimum side wall requirement of 30’ with variation allowed above the specs. The Government’s requirement is to have an unobstructed interior volume measuring 116x55x30; however, similar offers will be considered. The 40’ (minus 2 feet) peak height along the centerline gives us some additional flight trajectories in the center of the building, but is a little less important than the clear 116’ x 55’ x 30’ volume.
