Shall crush granules and agglomerations in preparation for further processing o Wet Agitated Ball Mill Module
Shall produce powders in the size range of less than 1um o Fluidized Bed Opposed Jet Mill Module
Shall produce powders in the size range of 1um to 130um or tighter.
o Classifier Mill
Shall produce powders in the size range of 5um to 130um or tighter.
At a minimum, the following classifying modules shall be available at time of purchase:
o Classification Module
This module shall be capable of interfacing with the ultrafine classifier module and the deflection wheel classifier module
The classification module internal components shall either be made of ceramic or metal/ceramic composite in order to minimize wear and cross contamination.
o Deflection Wheel Classifier Module
This module shall be capable of the classification and separation of fine powders between 10um and 100um or wider o Ultrafine Classification Module
This module shall be capable of the classification and separation of fine powders between 5um and 100um or wider
At a minimum, the following classifying modules shall be available at time of purchase:
o High Torque Drive Module
This module shall interface with and drive the batch mixer module and the high energy mixing module.
o Batch Mixer Module
The mixing mechanism of this module shall be a vertically oriented rotating inclined blade.
The maximum capacity of this module shall be a minimum of 80ml
The weight limit of each batch processed by this module shall be a minimum of
15g
The motor that operated this module shall be a minimum of 500W o High Energy Mixer Module
This module shall be capable of producing functionalized powder via high energy mechanical-chemical mixing.
Software Requirements:
The base platform shall include a computer and OEM-provided software capable controlling and reporting data on each module currently connected to it.
The primary user interface with this computer shall be either a touch screen or a keyboard, mouse, and monitor.
The software shall contain an internal database of all available modules and specific operating setting associated with each.
The software shall be capable of displaying operating data, operating settings, system process flow charts, and data trend curves.
