Statement of Work Integrated Systems Solution, Inc.

1.0 SCOPE

AIR-4.5.5 Radar and Antenna System Division, Facilities for Antenna and Radar Cross Section (RCS) Measurements (FARM) routinely performs GPS jamming testing of GPS anti-jam antennas and receivers. In order to perform this type of testing, a mast which is capable of supporting an antenna at heights of up to 38 feet in both an indoor and outdoor environment is required.

2.0 BACKGROUND

The FARM performs GPS testing in its rectangular anechoic chamber in B3200 and its open air test range. Jammers boxes are used to create the necessary threat signals. These threats are placed around antenna under test (AUT) to simulate the threat environment, typically at 6 to 12 locations.

Outdoor testing is done on GPS AJ systems mounted to aircraft at the open air test range of the FARM. Again, these jammers are located around the AUT, typically at 6 – 12 locations. In order to perform GPS jamming outdoors, national approval is required to radiate in the GPS bands. In order to comply with the FAA’s keep out region around Washington DC, with the FARM’s close proximity, high gain antennas (again due to the low power of the jammer boxes) as well as low sidelobe and backlobe levels are required (to minimize radiation in undesired directions).

Masts capable of supporting the directional antennas at heights of up to 38 feet are required. These masts must have a locking/clamping mechanism between sections in order to prevent twisting.
