STATEMENT OF WORK
Sanitation and Dropping removal
Technicians will scrape, brush, shovel, bag, vacuum as necessary, and remove the droppings, nesting debris, and any dead birds from within the service area. Physically remove this debris from within your facility and place in a provided on site dumpster. Sanitize the infested area with Virkon S, a disinfectant, sanitizer, fungicide, and deodorizer. This is a dry-cleaning.
Will not use high pressure water cleaning.
We will use wet rags, where necessary, to remove accumulated droppings from trusses, and any interior wall panels.
A small electric articulated lift will be used to facility the truss cleaning.
The service area is as follows:
The interior of building # 8139: trusses, top of offices, top of overhead doors, and the floor (research equipment will not be touched unless instructed to do so)
Exclusion through Structural Bird Netting
With this control program the trusses of this 155’ X 125’ building and the two 155’ X 15’ side walls will receive an application of structural bird netting. The net is a durable 3/4" multi-stranded, knotted and ultraviolet light stabilized webbed netting. The netting will eliminate the entry, perching and roosting sites without the use of chemicals.
The netting will be securely fastened to the vertical and horizontal building members through a wire frame system. The wire system is securely attached to the building using mechanical fasteners. The wire is held taught through the use of inline turnbuckles. The netting is attached to the tensioned wire using a miniature hog ring system. The netting will be attached in a manner to provide a 100% closure around the perimeter. This method allows for removal and non-destruction of the netting so the netting may be removed and reinstalled for maintenance purposes. Once installed the net is barely visible and does not distract from the building.
The net will be installed above the duct work, to the bottom of the roof trusses. All lights will be below the bird net. The overhead crane will be below the net.
The sidewalls will be netted from the trusses down, approximately 15’ this will be in a vertical configuration.
The net will run in a vertical fashion from the ceiling of the two offices to the base of the trusses, and be attached and knitted to the horizontal net.
When the interior netting configuration is complete, technicians will inspect the exterior of this building for access holes. These holes will be closed using either metal mesh, sheet stock aluminum, or closed cell foam.
The net will be black in color. Approximately 24,000 square feet of net will be installed.
Technicians will use a 35’ electric articulated lift to reach the work areas. Half the building will be treated at one time.
GUARANTEE
The netting program carries both a functional and mechanical guarantee.
The netting is guaranteed for ten years against material failure, and the installation service is guaranteed for five years against workmanship failure. If the netting fails, without manmade physical intervention, the necessary repairs will be made to restore the original integrity.
