66 Draft RFP Section I, RFP Section I Page 107 of 125 - FAR 52.217-8 allows for continued performance of up to six months, but is allowing for only a 1-day notice to the Contractor to continue service. Question: Will the Government consider increasing the notification requirement to 30 days before the contract expires to allow Contractors lead time to plan for the continuation? The modification actually exercising the option, as notified earlier, need not be received so far in advance.

67 Draft RFP Section I, RFP Section I Page 107 of 125 - FAR 52.217-9 allows for the Government to exercise the contract's options, but is allowing for only a 1-day notice for both preliminary notice and actual exercise. Question: Will the Government consider increasing the preliminary written notification requirement to at least 30 days before the contract expires to allow Contractors lead time to plan for the option? The modification actually exercising the option, as notified earlier, need not be received so far in advance.
