About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document clarifying contractor obligations regarding gauge and pressure relief valve (PRV) testing and verification under the Statement of Work.
According to the clarification provided, contractors are required to verify calibration dates for gauges per SOW section 7.2.6 but are not obligated to perform calibration themselves. The compressor installation cannot proceed prior to calibration expiration, and the calibration date must be documented in the final report. For relief valves under SOW section 7.4.1e, contractors must verify the setpoints and record them in the final report, with no calibration requirement necessary. These clarifications address ambiguity in the SOW language regarding whether actual testing and calibration activities were contractor responsibilities or verification-only obligations.

Questions and Answers
Question 0001: We have a few questions regarding the gauges and the PRV valves. Based on the language in the SOW on 7.2.6 and 7.4.1 E we are uncertain if you are wanting us to perform the testing and calibrations of the items.
Answer 0001:
- In accordance with 7.2.6, they should verify the calibration date. They are not required to calibrate the gauges; the compressor may not be installed prior to calibration expiration. The calibration date should be noted on the final report.
- In accordance with 7.4.1e, they should verify the relief valves setpoints and note them on the final report. A calibration is not required.
