About this file
This modification amends a solicitation to overhaul a cargo refrigeration compressor. The amendment adds a statement of work requiring the contractor to arrange shipment of the shipboard compressor to their OEM certified facility for overhaul, in accordance with technical manuals. The contractor must disassemble, inspect, clean, replace worn parts, reassemble, and test the compressor. ABS will witness the testing remotely. The contractor must provide material and clearance documentation, condition reports for any unrepairable parts, and a service report detailing the work within 14 days of completion. The overhauled compressor must then be shipped back to the Navy as part of the vessel's spares.
