About this file

This amendment to a solicitation provides answers to vendor questions regarding a requirement for VDI project servers. The Navy intends to award a firm-fixed price contract to Hewlett Packard Enterprise for servers, storage, networking, and support. The equipment includes HPE ProLiant servers, Intel Xeon Gold processors, DDR4 memory, NVIDIA GPUs, HPE storage controllers, networking adapters, rails, batteries, power supplies, and 3-year ProLiant support. The period of performance is not specified. Questions are due by the amended date and time. Offers shall be submitted via email and must meet all terms and conditions in the solicitation, which incorporates FAR and DFARS clauses by reference. The NAICS code is 541519 and size standard is 150 employees. Pricing shall be FOB destination to Naval Undersea Warfare Center in Keyport, Washington.

The requirement is designated DPAS DO-C9 and is set aside solely for HPE due to form, fit and function requirements. The Navy will evaluate offers based on the criteria in the solicitation. Registration in SAM is required including completed representations and certifications. Company terms and conditions shall not be included with quotes.

SUMMARY OF CHANGES

SECTION SF 30 - BLOCK 14 CONTINUATION PAGE

The following have been added by full text:

VENDOR QUESTIONS

Question One (1): Can you confirm if the customer will need Special Access Onsite Resource (SAOR) please?

Answer: We do not need vendor personnel on site.

Question Two (2): Do you prefer installation on these items or not?

Answer: The government will handle installation.

Question Three (3): I would recommend upgrading to the 1800-2200W PSU's. These power supplies support only high line voltage (200VAC to 240VAC). Also consider, no storage drives have been included in this configuration.

Answer: The government cannot support 240v power supplies, so we will be using power capping to ensure the servers are within the power limit of the spec'd power supplies. In addition, P48183-B21 is included with this requirement on CLIN 0013, which is the bootable storage.
