AMENDMENT A0001
Q&A
1. In the SOW it mentions approximately “25 items month.” This would equate to 300 calibrations in one year (25 items calibrated/month x 12 months/year = 300 calibrations/year). This is more calibration events in a year than providing one calibration per each of the 265 items in the equipment list in a year. When we calculate the average monthly calibrations based on the “Met Cycle (Months)” column (K) in the provided equipment list, it averages closer to 13 calibrations per month, or 151 calibrations/year.
The monthly volume of items presented for calibration directly effects our calculation of the monthly price for CLIN 0001 and option CLINs 1001 and 2001. We respectfully need to know if our estimate of 13 items/month is accurate based on the Met cycle or if NUWC will actually provide approximately 25 items/month and if so which items.
‐ This is a NTE order. Up to 25 items, per month, may be calibrated. Each month there will be a variation of items for calibration. Please quote the 25 items per month.
2. Please confirm that CLINS 0001, 1001 and 2001 are the monthly calibration price for each respective CLIN year.
‐ You would need to quote the total for the year. 1 LOT= 12 months. The line item is not to exceed
(NTE) and will not exceed the yearly total.
3. Do you anticipate an extension to the Original Date Offers Due of September 24, 2021 at 10:00 AM EDT?
‐ We do not anticipate extending this requirement past the closing date and time on the RFQ.
4. Question: Is this mobile service delivery approach something that would be of interest to NUWC? If so we can bid this as an alternative to pickup and delivery or ship in/out as specified in the solicitation. It can be priced per event rather than as a monthly price, based on your preference.
‐ We appreciate the suggestion for an alternate path forward however, our current requirement is monthly calibration services, off site. Mobile calibration services, on‐site, do not align with the specifications in the statement of work. In addition, four (4) events per year do not adequately support our need for monthly services.
