STATEMENT OF WORK

MK 30 MOD 1 TARGET PROGRAM

HULL, TRANSDUCER SECTION FORGING

DRAWING: PESK 6956

DATE: 19 August 2009

1. This proposed firm-fixed price contract is for procurement of TWENTY-FOUR (24) Hull, Transducer Section Forgings, IAW Drawing PESK 6956 and all attachments provided.

2. Attachments provided for this solicitation are as follows:

1. Data Item Description (DID) Test Inspection

2. PESK 6956 (Professional Engineering Sketch)

3. Contract Data Requirements List (CDRL) Hull, Transducer Section Forging

3. We are requiring the following:

1. Quantity ONE (1) Pre-Production Sample (First Article): Due 120 days after Contract Award.

2. Quantity ONE (1) Periodic Sample: To be randomly selected by NUWC Division Keyport once production begins. Test results shall be due THIRTY (30) days after selection.

3. Quantity TWENTY-TWO (22) Production Units: Due ONE HUNDRED TWENTY-TWO (120) days after First Article Acceptance.

4. Quantity TEN (10) Optional Production Units.

5. Quantity TEN (10) Optional Production Units.

4. Test/Inspection/Acceptance Criteria:

A. Allow 45 days for Testing/Inspection/Acceptance (as required) for First Article, Periodics and Production Lot. Inspection and Acceptance will be performed at Destination NUWC Div Keyport, by Codes 421/321 and QA Mechanical group

(IC).

B. The manufacturer shall provide NUWC Division Keyport, C/421 with destructive testing results and photomicrographs for both the pre-production sample (first article) and the periodic sample per Note 5. NUWC Division Keyport, C/421 will select the unit to be used as the periodic sample following acceptance of the first article. Bidder shall notify NUWC Division Keyport, C/421 whether oversized units or separate units will be used for the destructive tests as referenced in Note 5.

All test specimens shall be clearly marked for ease of identification as to which unit and from what location they came from. The manufacturer shall also provide NUWC Division Keyport, C/421 with the hardness testing results and ultrasonic inspection data for all forgings. Required specifications are noted in the drawing, PESK 6956.

5. Certifications of Conformance and Test Reports are required as specified in the Attached CDRL.
