Statement of Work (SOW) for Mk VI Crew Familiarization Operator and Maintainer Course of Instruction Training
Scope The contractor shall provide training for a course of instruction to fifteen Coastal Riverine Group ONE (CORIVGRU ONE) Training and Evaluation Unit (TEU) personnel in Imperial Beach, CA from 25 Feb 2019 to 15 MAR 2019. This course of instruction will cover the “Three Week Crew Familiarization Operator/Maintainer” course for the Mk VI Patrol Boat (PB). The Mk VI (PB) is a medium range patrol and command and control craft used for high value escort, intelligence gathering, amphibious operations, and shipping lane security. The Mk VI PB fills a void between 34’ PB craft and Littoral Combat Ships (LCS) in that it is faster, more heavily armed, and more maneuverable than the 34’ PB and smaller and more agile than an LCS that allows it to be the Navy’s premier platform for high value assets escort missions. Additionally, the Navy will start allowing Lieutenants to become Commanding Officers of individual Mk VI PB craft in the upcoming months. Proper training is essential to carry out these missions. Fuel will be provided by CORIVGRU ONE. Estimated number of instructors will be three persons. This training will provide CORIVGRU ONE TEU personnel a broad base of knowledge pertaining to the proper operations and maintenance of the Mk VI PB. Training and Evaluation Unit (TEU) will then subsequently use this knowledge to help train individual squadrons on the operations and maintenance of the MK VI PB.
Objectives The personnel being trained under this effort must have the ability to retrain the subordinate Coastal Riverine Force (CORIVFOR) personnel and have the ability to conduct evaluations.
Tasks
1. This course will provide training to fifteen (15) CORIVGRU ONE TEU personnel.
2. The duration of this course shall be 20 full time days in order to meet the Navy’s minimum training requirement. A full day is considered 10 hours.
3. All personnel must graduate and receive a certificate as proof of course completion.
