1. Introduction

Project Title: Procurement of Video Surveillance System

Project Location: Larson Hall and Farragut House, United States Naval Academy, Annapolis MD 21402

2. Background

The purpose of this project is to enhance the security of various spaces at the United States Naval Academy (USNA) by installing a comprehensive access control and video surveillance system. The existing system was installed in 2009, and some locations were never provided security system implementation. The existing coverage area is insufficient for the Superintendent's needs. To fully protect the occupants of Larson Hall and the Farragut House the SUPE Staff has asked to replace this system with one that can monitor select public areas and all building access/egress points.

3. Scope of Work

The scope of this project is a turnkey effort to be performed entirely by the awarded vendor, including the supply, licensing, installation, configuration, testing, and commissioning of a security access control and video surveillance system as detailed in 3.1, below. The vendor is responsible for all labor associated with delivering a fully operational system, culminating in formal handoff of the completed system to USNA.
