STATEMENT OF WORK/PERFORMANCE WORK STATEMENT
United States Naval Academy – Office of the Provost
Business Support Services
Background. ABET Inc, is recognized worldwide as a leader in engineering academic accreditation and is the ONLY organization in the US authorized to accredit engineering and computing programs. ABET Inc accreditation assures USNA Midshipmen and the Department of Education of the quality of the Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology programs. This is important for recruiting efforts as the USNA competes with nationally and internationally recognized engineering and computing programs for the most qualified applications.
1. Objectives. The objective of this contract is for USNA to maintain its accredited status in order to:
1.1. Through a site visit for each program requiring reaffirmation in the accreditation cycle.
2. Scope. This statement of work is to be placed on the ABET schedule (request for evaluation during January of 2024) for a site visit to take place in the fall of acacdemic year 2024. Timely site visits are required for a positive decision of reaffirmation to be possible.
3. Requirements. Recognition by the Department of Education.
4. Deliverables. Team visit in fall of academic year 2024.
5. Quality Control and Assurance. Recognition by the Department of Education and Council for Higher Education Accreditation.
6. Government Contacts. General oversight for objectives, requirements, invoices, deliverables, etc. under this statement of work will be performed by the following individuals or their designated representatives:
