About this file
This document provides justification for a sole source procurement of Console User Devices (CUDs) from a specific vendor. The procurement is intended to avoid costs associated with researching, developing, and implementing compatible products from other suppliers. The interfaces and physical components of the CUDs currently implemented in multiple locations would be compatible. No authorized resellers exist for these CUDs, which have an approved authority to operate under ITPR and are covered under a specific FMS case. Qualifying other CUDs would require additional costs and time to secure a new approval. The related solicitation is for CUDs, issued by the Department of the Navy Naval Supply Systems Command as a sole source procurement.
