Is USCG certification required in addition to ABS? Does it require DNV certification as well? ABS Only
Is this building in a hazardous area that requires it to be Class 1 Div. 2? No Is this for new builds or existing units? If for new, it is not possible to build within 60 days. New units would require 6-month ADC.
Either. Amendment updating delivery is forthcoming.
How many restrooms are required within each module? 1 per each 4 persons Would you be interested in one of our Lease Fleet Modules as an option? They are 12-man sleepers with 3 bathrooms and meet ABS/USCG and DNV certifications.
No
Is a 42ft unit acceptable? We noticed that your footprint was 12’x 40’ with the HVAC, etc to be installed externally beyond the 42’. Our fleet units are 42’ in length including the HVAC and all other connections
No, drawings are completed for deck and equipment layout for 12'x40 footprint.
For the option of our existing fleet assets, is it a requirement that these are to be built in the USA?
Our existing fleet assets were not manufactured in the United States, but do carry all of the certifications required and are owned by our company which is headquartered in the United States.
The requirement is that the PAM be American Bureau of Shipping approved. Clauses DFARS 252.225-7001, DFARS 252.225-7002, and DFARS 252.225-7021 (DEV) apply to this solicitation.
The PAM guide lists typical design head values for vessel types, including OSV’s. Assumptions on the size of the OSV for those typical designs are for a 295ft vessel. Technical spec calls for main deck of an OSV. Is there a specific design head you are wanting to achieve? Can you provide information on the specific vessel and/or placement on the vessel?
Vessel is 286'x60'x24.5' Former Bravante VIII by Eastern Shipbuilding. Placement approx 14' aft of superstructure, side by side on either side of centerline. Design head calculations were performed, I do not have access to that data at the moment.
Per the ABS PAM Guide Section 2.23 table #2 an OSV of 295’ was used for the table requirements.
What is the size and service of the OSV you would like considered for the PAM module requirements?
286’x60’x24.5’ in unrestricted ocean service. PAM location; FWD Main Deck, side by side, unstacked.
