About this file

This request for quotation solicits proposals for a modular 48-channel mechanical shock, vibration and video data acquisition system. The system must include six individual units each with eight input and eight output channels to provide signal conditioning for various transducer types including IEPE, charge mode, and piezoresistive accelerometers as well as load cells and strain gages. Two units must provide universal signal conditioning and four units must be dedicated to IEPE transducers. The system will integrate with existing Dewe-Cam video cameras and Dewetron data acquisition devices at Naval Surface Warfare Center Indian Head Division to capture synchronized sensor and video data during mechanical testing. Proposals are due by September 20, 2023. The Department of the Navy seeks to acquire this system to support qualification testing at its test laboratory.

STATEMENT OF WORK

FOR

DATA ACQUISITION SYSTEM

1. Scope. This document covers the requirements for a modular 48 channel Mechanical Shock, Vibration and Video Data Acquisition System at Naval Surface Warfare Center (NSWC) Indian Head Division (IHD) Detachment Picatinny, Code G12. The system will be used to provide signals conditioning and data acquisition for shock and vibration transducer. The system shall include and run on Dewesoft software so that the system can interface with three existing Dewetron DEWE-3051 data acquisition systems (that also run on Dewesoft software), allowing the system to control the other three systems to provide simultaneous data acquisition between all four systems. The system must provide signal conditioning for the following type of transducers: voltage accelerometers (piezoelectric IEPE/ICP), charge mode accelerometers, piezoresistive accelerometers, DC generating transducers, powered transducers (needing a DC power source), load cells, strain gages, AC and DC Linear Voltage Differential Transducers.

1.1 Mechanical Shock, Vibration and Video Data Acquisition Need. The NSWC IHD Code G12 Navy Test Laboratory, which is part of the Naval Packaging, Handling, Storage and Transportation Center, is responsible for qualifying packaging and handling equipment to specified requirements defined for the Naval logistic system. In order to perform this mission, testing need to be performed to evaluate systems. These tests require acquisition of data from many different transducers and video coverage during mechanical shock and vibration tests.

2. Requirements

1) Mechanical Shock, Vibration and Video Data Acquisition System Details. The system will have six individual units each with eight (8) input channels and eight (8) output channels per unit. The individual units can be used stand-alone (each connected to their own computer running Dewesoft software) or networked together for 48 channels connected to one (1) computer running DEWEsoft software. An analog anti-aliasing filter, prior to digitizing, on each channel shall eliminate the possibility of aliasing. The following channel signal-conditioning configuration shall be provided.

a) A quantity of four (4) units shall be dedicated for IEPE transducer with TEDS capability. Each of the four (4) units shall have eight (8) input channels and eight (8) analog output channels. The physical input shall be BNC connections. The physical output shall be BNC connections. Each unit shall include a license of Dewesoft-PROF + OPT-CAN, any required power supplies, and all cables to connect the unit to itself, the controlling computer, and synchronize the units together.

Each unit shall also provide:

IEPE supply current with selectable setting shall be supplied. At least one selectable setting at 4 or 5 mA and another setting at 8-10 mA.

The 8 channel inputs shall have DC coupling, and AC coupling of 0.1 and 1 Hz.

The analog outputs will be provided after the signal conditioning and shall operate during real-time recording.

The input channels shall have at least two 24-bit analog to digital converters (ADC) per channel.

The system shall have a usable bandwidth of at least 70 KHz for the 8 IEPE channels.

b) A quantity of two (2) units shall be universal signal conditioning. Each of the two (2) units shall have eight (8) universal input channels and eight (8) analog output channels. The physical input shall be 9 pin D-Sub standard connectors. The physical output shall be BNC connections. Each unit shall include a license of Dewesoft-PROF + OPT-CAN, any required power supplies, and all cables to connect the unit to itself, the controlling computer, and synchronize the units together.

Each unit shall also provide:

The universal signal conditioning shall support (with DSI adapters):

1. Full, half, and ¼ bridges and shunt calibration shall be provided. (supporting piezo-resistive accelerometers, load cells, strain gages, etc)

2. IEPE transducer

3. Charge transducers

4. DC signals

5. AC signals

6. DC powered transducers

7. The cards shall have an option for both DC and AC coupling of 1 Hz.

8. DC voltage source (excitation) shall be variable from 0 to 12Vdc

9. *The universal inputs shall support our existing Dewetron MSI modules for high voltage (200 V), type T thermocouples, IEPE accelerometers, and charge accelerometers.

The analog outputs will be provided after the signal conditioning and shall operate during real-time recording.

The input channels shall be dual 24-bit analog to digital converters (ADC) per channel.

2) The system shall support the PHST Center’s existing Dewe-Cam-FW-70 Video Cameras capable of 70 frames per sec to 200 frames per sec capture rate which will connect to the controlling PC via Firewire.

The video shall be synchronized with the sensor data.

3) System shall be capable to connect to additional systems (similar systems or existing Dewetron

DEWE-3051

systems) in a master / slave configuration so that the master system will control the slave systems allowing starting and stopping all systems in synchronization.

4) The systems/software shall be able to be run on the existing NSWC IHD Code G12 laptops, running the Microsoft Windows 10 operating system, 7th Generation I7 Processor, and 16 GB Memory.

5) Real time and post-test operating shall be capable of showing the video and shock/vibration data from the transducer on the same screen with the data synchronized. The posttest data viewing shall provide a capability to slow the data stream down to view both video and data in slow motion with a variable speed adjustment.

6) The digital test data shall be capable of being exported into numerous formats. A format that will be easily imported into PROSIG DATS for Windows must be provided. The DATS for Windows format is DAC. If this cannot be provided, then a binary SDF (Standard Data Format) export, that supports multiple channels, must be provided.

7) A complete set of User Manuals shall be provided in digital format.

8) A NIST Traceable System Calibration Certificate shall be provided.

9) A user Support PHONE Service shall be provided.

10) The System shall have a seven-year warranty.

11) The Dewesoft Software shall include lifetime software upgrades.

File details come from the government source that posted it. Updated .
