About this file
This document provides an amendment to a solicitation for interactive displays. The Navy seeks to procure 20 interactive LCD displays with infrared touch interfaces to meet specifications in Drawing 7251886. The amendment updates the shock testing requirement to comply with MIL-S-901E Grade A Class 1 Type C when mounted on a test fixture, with the vendor responsible for testing. It also answers questions from potential offerors, clarifying that the Navy will test integrated displays and additional quantities may be purchased in the future. The solicitation is a small business set-aside with a firm-fixed price contract and seeks the highest technically rated offer with a fair price by August 10, 2020.

SECTION SF 30 - BLOCK 14 CONTINUATION PAGE
The following have been added by full text:
RFP Q&A REGARDING SOW
The purpose of this Amendment 01 is as follows:
1.) Post Questions & Answers:
A.) Question 1: Does the Government intend to purchase any additional quantities of the display beyond the twenty (20) listed in the RFP?
USG Response: The Navy does plan on purchasing more displays in the future but timeframe is unknown at this point in time. The qty of 20 for this RFP is all that is required.
B.) Question 2: For the environmental requirements listed under notes 11.1 through 11.7 of the drawing; will the manufacturer be responsible for testing or the will the Government be testing the unit, considering that note 11.3 will be done when mounted in assembly 7250720?
USG Response: The manufacturer is responsible for environmental testing. There is a Certificate of conformance due at the delivery under CDRL A001.
C.) If the manufacturer is required to test, will assembly 7250720 be provided as GFE for testing?
USG Response: At this point the USG will take the whole display and ensure that it works properly once plugged in to a testing system. The assembly 7250720 is a whole control panel and is not feasible to have it shipped for testing. Shock testing is required by vendor, see updated MIL‐DTL‐901E.
2.) Update the SOW regarding Shock Testing and MIL‐DTL‐901E:
D.) Section C ‐ SOW 7251886 IAD SOW shock test requirement be changed to:
SHOCK REQUIREMENTS IAW MIL-S-901E GRADE A, CLASS 1, TYPE C SHALL BE MET
WHEN MOUNTED TO A STANDARD TEST FIXTURE IN THE NON-ISOLATED
MOUNTING CONFIGURATION (TYPE “C” TEST LWSM) AND THE VENDOR IS
RESPONSIBLE FOR THIS - This requirement supersedes 7251886 NOTE 11.3
3.) All other terms and conditions remain unchanged. RFP close date remains unchanged at 10‐ AUG‐2020 by 4:00PM EST.
