STATEMENT OF WORK

FOR

Broken Tektronix Oscilloscope Model DPO71254B Service

1.0 INTRODUCTION

Naval Surface Warfare Center, IHEODTD has a requirement to repair and calibrate a Tektronix Oscilloscope, Model DPO71254B, SN B120000 with plant property number NSWC# 0017408920 MS50 for D24, the Sensors & Diagnostics Branch

1.1 Background

The Tektronix Oscilloscope is used, alongside other testing instrumentation, on a daily basis as part of the Anechoic Chamber RF/Acoustic test facility in Code D24. The Tektronix DPO71254B is currently D24's only High Performance Oscilloscope with a bandwidth of 12.5 GHz. This model scope has the industry's highest waveform capture rate, best signal fidelity, and lowest noise floor. It is also the departments only scope with SignlaVu software, making it one of only a few D24 instruments that operate in both the Time and Frequency Domains. It's the lab’s only scope that can do Frequency Domain and Vector Signal Analysis (VSA) measurements. The value and replacement costs of this O’scope are in excess of $26K USD, making repair the most prudent choice for the government, as opposed to replacement or disposal.

1.2 Scope

This Statement of Work (SOW) describes and defines the repair and calibration work that is required to service the Tektronix Oscilloscope, Model DPO71254B, which is located in Building 2015, on Stump Neck Annex (D Department).

2.0 REQUIREMENTS

1. The oscilloscope will be packaged and shipped by IHEODTD to the vendor.

2. The vendor will evaluate the condition of the oscilloscope and determine the items that need repair.

3. Current known problems are a black screen and continuous noise.

4. Repair the unit and perform a function check.

5. The vendor will recalibrate the oscilloscope after repair.

6. A calibration certificate will be included with the instrument upon return.

7. The vendor will ship the repaired instrument and calibration certificate to IHEODTD.
