About this file
This document is a Justification and Approval (J&A) for a sole source contract for Rockwell Automation/Allen-Bradley automation components and software licenses. The key details are:
The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) plans to award a sole source contract to an unknown vendor for an unknown amount on September 30, 2024. This is due to the need for genuine, high-quality Allen-Bradley products and expert support, as third-party vendors may provide issues with product quality and warranty. A Sources Sought notice was previously posted, but no responses were received. The Contracting Officer has determined the anticipated cost will be fair and reasonable. At this time, NAVSEA has no plans to compete future contracts for these supplies, but will assess the feasibility of competition if another potential source emerges.
