* Exterior & Frame Construction: Heavy-duty, welded gauge sheet steel with a chemical-resistant, powder-coated finish.
- Exterior Color: White or beige (or manufacturer's standard equivalent white or beige).
* Interior Liner: White Fiberglass Reinforced Polyester (FRP).
- Characteristics: Chemical-resistant, non-porous, smooth/easy-to-clean, with a Class A fire-retardant rating (flame spread index of 25 or less per ASTM E84 / UL 181).
* Service Access: Removable exterior side panels and front pylons for easy maintenance access to plumbing and electrical services.
3. WORK SURFACE & SPILL CONTAINMENT:
The contractor shall supply a matching, heavy-duty interior worktop meeting the following specifications:
* Material: Molded, monolithic black epoxy resin, highly resistant to extreme heat, corrosive acids, alkalis, and organic solvents.
* Thickness: Minimum of 1-1/4 inches (1.25").
* Configuration: Dished design (marine edge border) to contain liquid spills within the interior work chamber.
4. SAFETY MONITORING & INSTRUMENTATION:
The fume hood must be equipped with a factory-mounted digital airflow monitor and alarm system (TEL AFA1000 or equal) meeting the following requirements:
* Real-time continuous digital display of face velocity in Feet Per Minute (FPM) or m/s.
* Tri-color visual LED indicators (Green = Normal, Amber = Caution, Red = Danger/Low Airflow).
* Full compliance with ANSI/ASHRAE 110-2016 safety and containment testing standards.
5. ELECTRICAL & UTILITY FIXTURES:
The fume hood superstructure shall be factory pre-wired and pre-plumbed with all internal connections terminating for facility connection:
