About this file
This is a Questions and Answers document dated August 13, 2026, for SSN N0017326RFIKN03, addressing inquiries related to a Naval Research Laboratory (NRL) Sources Sought Notice for General-Purpose Graphics Processing Unit (GPGPU) Servers for Geospatial Artificial Intelligence.
The document clarifies that NRL currently has no plans to purchase more than two (2) GPU servers, despite the three-year Period of Performance extending from November 1, 2026, through October 31, 2029. The extended performance period is intended to streamline post-delivery administration and support a long-term technical partnership rather than indicate future unit purchases. Physical delivery of the two servers is scheduled as a one-time event for completion within the initial 60 days, with the extended Period of Performance remaining active to facilitate ongoing warranty coordination, support requests, and software or firmware updates throughout the contract term.

Q&A dated 08/13/2026 Question 1:
The subject Sources Sought lists a quantity of two (2) servers needed with a period of performance (PoP) of 01 Nov 2026 to 31 Oct 2029. Is it the Government’s intention to purchase more than the two units listed over that PoP? And if so, how many are estimated over that timeline?
Answer 1:
NRL currently has no plans to purchase more than 2 units. The 3-year Period of Performance (PoP) is to streamline post-delivery administration and support a seamless, long-term technical partnership. While physical delivery of the GPU servers is a one-time event scheduled for completion within the initial 60 days, the extended PoP remains active to provide a stable, pre-established vehicle for ongoing warranty coordination, support requests, and software or firmware updates.
