About this file
This document is a Requirement Definition for an Optical Modulation Analyzer (OMA) system. The OMA system must meet specific physical and functional requirements, including rack-mountable dimensions, optical and RF connector types and impedances, and integrated oscilloscopes and laser sources. Functionally, the OMA must measure 100G and 400G coherent optical transceivers, support C-band and L-band optical wavelengths, provide real-time display of signal constellations, and interface with MATLAB and proprietary NRL software.
The related federal contract opportunity is a Special Notice for a sole source award to QuantiFi Photonics for the OMA system, citing the statutory authority of FAR 13.5 Simplified Procedures for Certain Commercial Products and Commercial Services. The agency issuing the notice is the Department of the Navy, Office of Naval Research. Interested parties may respond within 7 days, but this is not a request for proposals. The contemplated contract will be a Firm Fixed Price action.
