Text version

Specifications for 32 Channel Data Recorder

· Shall have 32 16-bit analog to digital converter channels

· Shall be capable of operating as two independent and physically separable 16-channel coherent units (each with their own external clock source and external trigger) without major reconfiguration

· Shall have a trigger output from each of the 16-channel systems

· Shall have a fixed delay between channels that does not change on subsequent triggers, i.e., no sample jitter between channels

· Shall be configurable as 32 coherent channels operating with a single external clock source and external trigger (can require additional hardware)

· Each channel shall have at least 100 MHz of bandwidth (bandwidth is defined as 0.8*fs)

· Each channel shall have an SFDR of at least 85 dBc

· Shall be capable of recording all channels at full rate continuously for 2 hours

· Shall be capable of recording 2 hours of data on all channels

· Shall have at least 16 GB/s real-time aggregate recording rate

· Shall store recorded data on easily accessible solid state drives

· Shall occupy no more than 10U of a 19 inch rack enclosure

· Shall support recording RF signals at a carrier of 500 MHz or greater

· Shall have the capability of GPS position and time stamping recorded files

· Shall have a mechanism for performing digital down conversion and decimation to reduce data rates when a lower bandwidth is used

· Digital down conversion shall support tuning over the entire bandwidth of the receiver

· Shall be capable of being configured using TCP/IP or UDP by a PC running Windows 10 operating system

· Shall store data files such that they are accessible via a local area network

· Data files shall be accessible over the local area network from a PC using Matlab software while the files are being written by the recorder
