About this file
This is an amendment to a solicitation for National Instruments (NI) modules issued by the Naval Surface Warfare Center Carderock Division (NSWCCD). The amendment updates key deadlines and removes the small business set-aside restriction from the original solicitation. Under the amended terms, quotes and capability statements are due by 08:30 AM on 24 March 2026, with questions required by 12:00 Noon on 20 March 2026. Answers to submitted questions will be published in a subsequent amendment. The procurement is solicited on a brand name basis for NI equipment, which the government has determined to be the only compatible material with no valid alternatives, justifying the restriction of competition under FAR 6.302-1(a)(2)(ii).
The award will be made as a firm fixed-price purchase order using Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The requirement is classified under NAICS code 541519 with a business size threshold of $34 million. The contracting agency is the Department of the Navy Naval Sea Systems Command. The solicitation number is N0016726Q1050. The amendment effectively extends the original deadline (12:00 Noon on 06 March 2026) by approximately three weeks and removes the total small business set-aside designation, opening the opportunity to all qualified contractors capable of providing compliant NI products.
