SECTION SF 30 BLOCK 14 CONTINUATION PAGE

SUMMARY OF CHANGES

SECTION SF 1449 - CONTINUATION SHEET

The following have been added by full text:

SOLICITATION QUESTIONS

1. According to the PWS, we must include a resume for all possible instructors. Does this have to be a formal resume format or would a bio page be sufficient?

- Vendor can print to PDF and attach to the proposal so contracts can redact

2. Under 4.0 Special Qualifications – it states the instructor should be board certified. Can you clarify what constitutes a “board certified” instructor? Would a Senior-Level ASME GD&T Certified instructor fit this requirement?

- Section 4.0 of the PWS states instructor should have GDTP ASME Y14.5 certification

3. Under 7.0 Deliverables – it has a table, which includes under the name “Presentation and Course materials”. Are we required to provide our training presentation, or just the training materials that are provided to the attendees of the training?

- Training materials will suffice

4. In 3.5 – outlining the training curriculum requirements – it states that the training has to be based on the

ASME Y14.5-2018 Standard and include ASME Y14.5 updates and changes from 1994, 2009, to the current 2018 standard. Our course is standard agnostic – so that we can train any company no matter which standard they use – any ASME version and even ISO – if we are discussing a topic that is different from a specific version of a standard (for example: ASME Y14.5-2018 removed concentricity & symmetry) it is still in our training materials, we just explain that it is not there in 2018 when discussing that specific content.

a. Is this going to be a problem? Does the training presentation have to be centered around the 2018 standard – or will our agnostic training presentation be sufficient as long as it is customized to the use of the ASME Y14.5-2018 standard used on the group’s engineering drawings?

o This is fine

b. Also – will it be sufficient to simply discuss the differences in the standard versions, or do we have to specifically lay out the differences of the 3 versions in the training materials?

o Discussion of different year standards is fine

5. In 9.0 – Period of Performance: I see that the company awarded must complete training within 3 months of accepting the bid. Do you have an idea of when the acceptance would happen? Our instructors are often booked 3-4 months in advance. So, this would be challenging to guarantee on our end.

- PWS date requirement is from award so partially dependent on contracts to provide vendor a tentative award date. NSWCCD is willing to work with vendor on actual course date.
