Language: English

Volatile/Non-Volatile Memory:

The contractor shall supply with the bid package a document stating whether volatile or non-volatile memory is used to store build data. It is desirable that the system have the ability to store non-volatile build data to only removable media when commanded. If non-volatile memory must be stored to a location other than a removable media, the bid should state what type of device the data is stored on and what is required to remove and replace that device.

Recovery after Power Loss:

The system should be capable of restarting following a power loss from the same point at the time the power is lost. The machine shall be capable of retaining memory for 48 hours. The contractor should note in the bid package if this process is automatic or what steps must be taken by the operator to enable the action. The contractor should also note if there is a time limit on when the action needs to take place. If an Uninterruptable Power Supply is required to enable this feature the bid should include the required equipment.
