Statement of Work

The Navy has need for relocation services for Large Vessel Interface (LVI) crane components.

The LVI crane components are currently being stored at Chesapeake Bay Bridge Tunnel (CBBT) Authority’s property at Cove Point off of Little Creek, Virginia and shall be moved to Joint Expeditionary Base – Little Creek (JEB-LC). The contractor shall:

1) Arrange waterborne operations with JEB-LC Port Operations (POC is QMCS Schools 757- 462-7395)

2) Provide an execution plan describing the flow path of material movement at JEB-LC for submission to NAVFAC as indicated in the attached PowerPoint.

3) Upon acceptance of the execution plan the contractor shall move all components from the current storage location to the JEB-LC location as indicated in the attached PowerPoint.

Note – Oversize loads traveling by truck will necessitate fitment through JEB-LC security gates

-The Jib Rest is currently welded to the Eccenter– The contractor is permitted to remove the JIB Rest from the Eccenter to make rigging and/or transportation easier. If the removal is necessary, the contractor shall cut horizontally at the base of the JIB Rest and shall minimize heat and damage to the Eccenter structure.

-Please see attached PowerPoint for all crane specification.
