ANSWERS TO INDUSTRY QUESTIONS

Question 1:

The following documents were not part of this package and are necessary to respond to the proposal requirements. 1) Drawing 2917306, 2) TW272-AB-PRO-010 Antenna Reflector Repair Baseline Manual, and 3) SW273-AO-TRS-020/TRS Rev 02 Appendix C

Response 1:

Drawing 2917306 is shown as figure 4-1 within the TW272-AB-PRO-070 maunal. A separate drawing is not needed. TW272-AB-PRO-010 Antenna Reflector Repair Baseline Manual has been added as a part of Amendment 0004 to the solicitation and will be available on FBO. SW273-AO-TRS-020/TRS Rev 02 Appendix C was included as the last document of the attachment sent to requestors via AMRDEC SAFE.

Question 2:

The anticipated award date for the solicitation. The solicitation in Section C SOW (para 6.1) and as noted within other sections that the Period of Performance is 5 years, however, no starting reference date has been provided. Therefore as discrete yearly pricing is required a planning date is requested to allow the Contractor to properly allocation resource and material expenses to reflect fiscal year impacts and transitions.

Response 2:

The Contract is expected to be awarded in 2014.

Question 3:

The performance location requirements of CLIN 0005 Shipboard Repair Delivery Orders is requested. This CLIN's effort requires work to be performed both within and outside the Continental US, therefore, to properly support a responsible pricing objective for this solicitation the Contractor requests a projection of the annual percentage of repairs to be performed in these categories.

Response 3:

Shipboard repair would be 100% Continental US.

Question 4:

The Contractor requests a duration, average number of days required or to be used for planning purposes, reference assumption for the CLIN 005 Shipboard Repairs.

Response 4:

It is expected that at worst case travel would be 14 days per trip.

Question 5:

Will certifications of completion acknowledging acceptance of Delivery Order defined repairs be issued by a repair location site technical representative for CLIN 005 Shipboard Repair on-site to Contractor's repair team

Response 5:

There will be a Government person on travel to the locations needing work. It would be Crane personnel or ISEA personnel.

Question 6:

The order quantities defined in solicitation Section I (para 52.216-19), under (b) Maximum Order references to various quantity limits, either as a single item or in combination items specific to a period. What is the award or delivery order intent for the associated CLINs if the quantity exceeds 10 units and are these limits associated with a one year period?

Response 6:

Please propose given quanity/price breaks customary to the industry.

Question 7:

Is the solicitation Section L Table of Content page count limitation specific to each of the proposal volumes or applicable to the entire proposal submission?

Response 7:

A one (1) page Table of Contents can be provided with each volume.

Question 8:

The Subfactor B Standard I requirement source location to provide a compliance matrix of logistics requirements listed in the Section C SOW is unclear. Please specify the location within the Section C SOW where the logistics requirements of (i) Reliability, Repairability, Maintainability and Producibility are referenced and defined.

Response 8:

The requirement is to explain how the offeror plans to logistically perform the requiremetns for each section of the SOW.
