About this file
This document is a Request for Information (RFI) for a potential future contract opportunity related to the U.S. Navy's Inertial Navigation System (INS) designated the AN/WSN-12. The Naval Sea Systems Command (NAVSEA) is conducting market research to identify potential sources that can serve as the System Design Agent (DA) and provide Engineering Support (ES) as well as manufacturing the modernized INS. The scope of work requires a source that can meet the INS performance requirements, system interfaces, and program delivery schedule to fulfill U.S. Navy and foreign military requirements. Responses should address the respondent's approach to providing a qualified INS, production capability, engineering processes, facilities, and rough order of magnitude pricing. Responses are due within 30 days and should not exceed 15 pages. The government anticipates that a U.S. facility security clearance of at least SECRET will be required prior to award. Proprietary technology and data rights are also discussed as potential areas of concern.
