About this file

This document is a request for information from the U.S. Navy regarding the potential procurement of eleven-meter rigid inflatable boats. The Navy plans to award a five-year indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract valued at an estimated fifty-two boats to be delivered to stock points in San Diego, California and Williamsburg, Virginia. The boats will be used for search and rescue missions as well as general transportation and secondary missions including anti-terrorism and force protection operations. Key requirements for the boats include twin diesel engines up to 480 horsepower, water jet propulsion, lifting interfaces for shipboard and shore-based operations, and space and wiring for tactical communications equipment. Interested parties are requested to submit a five-page capability statement by October 29, 2021 including company and production information, technical concerns regarding the boat configuration, relevant experience, and boat pricing and discount structure. The contract award is targeted for the fourth quarter of fiscal year 2022.
