Enclosure (1): Primary Requirements for Replacement Transmitter

This section details a list of Primary requirements (both minimum requirements and desired elements) sought for the replacement transmitter.

Requirements Minimum Requirement

Desired Element

Main RF output power at (waveguide output flange) shall be:

a) Radiate state: 65.44 dBM +/‐ 1 dB; (Objective: 5kw +/‐1dB)

b) Radiate state (low Power): 55.44 dBm +/‐ 1 dB

c) Ready State: 47.5dBM +/‐1 dB x

When configured for uplink and when supplied with an uplink message, the transmitter shall provide X‐band uplink in 2T format (Frequency Shift Key) x

Transmitter shall be capable of operating in air and surface mode and provide appropriate signal modulation x

Transmitter shall provide the X‐band modulation in support of target tracking and target illumination x

Transmitter shall provide coding signal modulation in both Air mode and Surface mode.

The transmitter shall be compatible with MK 57 NSSMS x

The overall weight of the transmitter shall not exceed 3750 pounds x

The transmitter shall meet all requirements when supplied the available power from ship services as shown:

a) 440 VAC, 60Hz, 3 ph, 19kVA max

b) 115 VAC, 60Hz, 3 ph, 3kVA max

c) 115 VAC, 60 Hz, 3 pH, 3kVA max x

The transmitter shall operate and meet all cooling requirements with available ship services as shown:

a) Maximum 20 gpm flow at 100F maximum of water

Transmitter shall provide RF test ports for use with the AN/APM‐383(V)1 Radar Test Set
