You may add as much text as necessary. The box will expand to show all text.: Hopper N33 requests a full battery, Eaton 9390-40-80, replacement for their Eaton Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) System including a 3-year warranty/service contract. In order to remain postured for 24/7 mission support, mission essential equipment and support equipment must remain operable at all times. N33SW's UPS batteries are coming to their end of life cycle and require replacement/sustainment. A UPS is a continual power system, an electrical apparatus that provides emergency power to a load when the input power source or mains power fails. A UPS differs from an auxiliary or emergency power system or standby generator in that it will provide near-instantaneous protection from input power interruptions, by supplying energy stored in batteries. N33SW's UPS systems are Eaton. Eaton batteries are manufactured specifically with Eaton UPS systems. The utilization of other manufacturer's batteries would require the additional costs of unique connection cables/ports while also voiding any Eaton manufacturer warranty. This procurement is to replace the battery cells on the system which would be an overall cost savings to the government versus a replacement of both UPS systems ($58,787).
You may add as much text as necessary. The box will expand to show all text.: Competition will be sought among all GSA schedule contract holders and the resultant order will represent the best value (as defined in FAR 2.101) and results in the lowest cost alternative (considering price, special features, administrative costs, etc.) to meet the Government's needs. Further, the prices proposed by the vendors will be verified to ensure they are less than equal to vendor's GSA published price list.
You may add as much text as necessary. The box will expand to show all text.: The market research was retrieved from the manufacturer's website, CNET website, and GSA Advantage. The Eaton, 9390-40-80, batteries are a GSA scheduled product and are offered by several vendors.
