About this file
This document is a question and answer (Q&A) session related to a pre-solicitation for a Wi-Fi services contract with the Office of Naval Research (ONR). The key details are:
The acquisition aims to implement a guest Wi-Fi solution at the ONR One Liberty Center building in Arlington, VA. The current Wi-Fi network can only be accessed by ONR government-furnished equipment, so the new guest Wi-Fi is intended to enable non-GFE devices to connect. The contractor will provide a minimum 1GB internet connection, backhaul network services for the distributed antenna system (DAS), Wi-Fi connectivity for both GFE and non-GFE devices, and internet service if primary providers (Verizon, AT&T, T-Mobile) are unavailable. The contractor will also provide project management and technical services. The Q&A covers details such as the incumbent Wi-Fi vendor, availability of floor plans, preference for an on-premises Wi-Fi controller, and peak usage numbers. The solicitation number is N0001424MSORFI01 and the due date for the RFI cannot be extended.
