About this file

This business opportunity announcement seeks proposals for the development of advanced technologies to neutralize underwater mines and waterborne improvised explosive devices without detonation and from extended ranges. The Office of Naval Research goals include payloads delivered by diver or remotely operated vehicle to silently neutralize underwater threats without observable detonation that could compromise operations or endanger infrastructure. Inspection payloads are also desired to identify internal mine components from a distance. Communication technologies are sought to control payloads and vehicles over extended, over-the-horizon ranges. Proposals are requested for three topic areas: neutralization payloads, inspection payloads, and extended communication systems. Separate white papers should be submitted for each topic in response to this business opportunity announcement.
