About this file

This file is a Municipal Plunge Equipment Repairs request from the State of California for emergency repair and maintenance services at a municipal swimming facility. The facility operates a complex heating and circulation system comprising a thermal solar panel system on the locker room roof, two Raypak Model P-2005A natural gas boilers (primary unit installed in 2026 and backup unit installed in 2024, each with 1,999,000 BTU capacity), four Rinnai Model RUC98 tankless natural gas water heaters installed in 2015 for hot water in locker room facilities, and a 50-horsepower Reliance Model MP36G3401 pump manufactured by Baldor Electric that circulates pool water and is controlled by a variable frequency drive. The city prioritizes rapid emergency response capabilities and requests that selected firms respond to emergency repair calls within 24 hours, including weekends. Respondents capable of guaranteeing response times and providing weekend availability should explicitly state the guaranteed response time in their proposals and confirm crew availability for seven-day-per-week operations.

The file does not specify pricing terms, contract amounts, funding sources, set-asides, incumbent information, or the contract term and renewal options. No information regarding site visits, bidder conferences, response due dates, or award dates is provided in the available documentation.

Scope of Services The Municipal Plunge is equipped with a thermal solar panel system installed on the roof of the locker rooms that pre-heat pool water. After passing through the thermal solar panels, the pool’s water is further heated by two model P-2005A 1,999,000 BTU Raypak natural gas boilers. One was installed in 2026 (primary) and the other was installed in 2024 (backup). The facility’s water is also heated by four model RUC98 Rinnai tankless natural gas water heaters installed in 2015 that provide visitors with hot showers in the locker rooms.

The pool water is circulated using a 50-horsepower Reliance Model MP36G3401 pump manufactured by Baldor Electric that is controlled by a Variable Frequency Drive.

The City prefers the selected firm to respond to emergency repair calls for the heating and pumping equipment within 24 hours, including weekends.
