Text version
Source Selection Information – See FAR 2.101 and 3.104 seamlessly integrate into the existing AV infrastructure though the use of the existing cabling and control programing that is in use in the classrooms, no modifications will be required.
The classrooms are currently controlled with a combination of Extron AV Control hardware. This hardware is connected to the displays through a RS232 connection as well as HDMI. The RS232 connection is a communication port used with the Extron control system to send commands to the displays. These commands are brand specific, meaning Panasonic commands will not work with Sony displays. Currently the classrooms are equipped with Panasonic brand projectors and displays. We can replace the old displays with new ones and not have to reprogram all of the units, same with the projectors.
☒ The supplies or services must be compatible in all aspects (form, fit and function) with existing systems presently installed/performing. Describe the equipment/function you have now and how the new item/service must coordinate, connect, or interface with the existing system.
These new displays will seamlessly integrate with the already existing AV infrastructure through the use of cabling and control programing that is already in using in the classrooms with no modifications being required. We will also be able to use the existing mounting points and locations as these are already compatible across Panasonic lines. It is in the best interest of the government to procure Panasonic displays to prevent the procurement of additional equipment.
