About this file
This is a Single Source Certificate of Conditions and Circumstances document involving the City of Tampa and FDOT's Integrated Corridor Management (ICM) project for the I-275 corridor. The document details the procurement of Siemens Ruggedcom SFP (Small Form-factor Pluggable) with an active transceiver, specifically the 6GK6008FE600AA0 model, to connect and integrate existing and new network switches for Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS) devices. The procurement involves 20 units of the SFP device, which will enable connectivity for road side units, blank out signs, and advanced traffic monitoring devices within the ICM network.
Intelligent Transportation Services, Inc. (local vendor) is the designated single source supplier, with a quote dated 3/14/2025 pricing the SFP units at $245.00 each, totaling $4,900.00. The sole source justification is based on the specific technical requirement that only the Siemens Ruggedcom SFP can make the new switch work with the existing switch. Siemens Industry, Inc. has provided a letter dated 3/13/2025 certifying their exclusive manufacturing and provision of Ruggedcom products, with Intelligent Transportation Services registered as the sole supplier to the City of Tampa through December 31, 2025. The quote includes freight and excludes sales tax, with payment terms set at Net 30.
