About this file

This statement of work outlines RNA sequencing services for 265 cotton samples. The selected vendor will receive RNA samples from the customer and perform quality control checks before constructing specialized libraries using the RNA samples. Each sample will then be sequenced using next-generation sequencing to generate 20-30 million short reads. The sequence data will be uploaded to a hard drive and shipped back to the customer. All work must be completed within 45 business days of the vendor receiving the RNA samples. The related federal contract opportunity was posted by the US Department of Agriculture Agricultural Research Service Field Research Implementation and Information Delivery under solicitation number 12405B23Q0431 to obtain RNA sequencing services for 265 cotton samples.

Statement of Work

Sequencing 265 cotton RNA samples:

Upon receiving RNA samples from the customer, the vendor will first measure the RNA quantity, and check the quality to determine whether the RNA sample is good for library construction. After passing the quality control, the vendor will construct a specialized library using the RNA sample. Then the RNA library will be sequenced using a next-generation sequencing instrument. For each sample, the vendor will generate 20~ millions of short sequence read, and upload into a hard disk, and ship to the customer.

The vendor will complete the work within 45 business days after receiving RNA samples from the customer.
