b. There shall be no lag, binding, jumping, or erratic operation. The directional control valve levers (19, 20, 21, 22) shall return to the central position when released. The manipulator head (18) shall maintain position with levers in central position.
c. Repeat Step a and Step b in WP 006 00, Paragraph 11.3 and Paragraph 11.4 with engine shut off and using hydraulic hand pump (WP 006, Figure 1, 11) to supply hydraulic power (Refer to Figure 5).
11.5 Load Test.
Stand clear of lift arm and load during lift cycle. Ensure test load is centered on manipulator head. Failure to comply can result in an unstable or spilled load, causing injury to personnel and damage to equipment.
NOTE
Test weight fabrication material is optional, either concrete or cast iron. Due to the manufacturing tolerances of cast iron or damaged concrete test weights, it may be necessary to supplement the test weights. Use a locally fabricated steel plate, one per block, to achieve the required weight of 3,000 pounds (+125±0 pounds) The thickness of the steel plate may vary based on the amount of supplemental weight required. Steel plates will conform to the corrosion control standards of TO 35-1-3 if they are subject to outdoor use/storage.

engine off. Simulate a hose failure by depressing the lift arms control lever (13) to the LOWER position. The load should not drop; however, a slow settling may occur if internal leakage occurs in the opposite lift cylinder, counter balance valve, or lift control valve.
e. Visually inspect accessible areas for leaks and structural cracks or failures.
NOTE
It is permissible for the load to settle 1/2 inch within a 15 minute period.
f. After all operations or tests have been completed, remove weight and position the lift truck in the parking area assigned. Lower the lift arms. Place the gear shift (15) in NEUTRAL. Place the parking brake valve lever (17) in the ON position. Place IGNITION SWITCH (9) in the OFF position.
