About this file
This is a printing services bid request issued by the Michigan Department of Technology, Management & Budget for the production of MIOSHA CET 0166 pocket folders. The project requires the fabrication of 3,000 finished pocket folders with a trim size of 9 inches by 12 inches. The folders must feature glued 4-inch pockets on both the left and right sides, with four business card slits on the left pocket, and a distinctive "V" cut design at the center spine to facilitate folding. The electronic design file will be supplied by the department, and vendors must submit a detailed cost estimate with their bid to be considered for award. Production must be completed within 15 to 20 business days following proof approval, with finished products shipped to Bradley M. Schumann, Print Consultant, at the General Services Building in Dimondale, Michigan.
The specifications call for four-color process printing (4/4c) with bleeds on 80-pound dull cover stock with dull flood varnish applied to both sides to minimize fingerprints. Vendors are required to submit an electronic PDF proof and must be prequalified to participate in the bidding process. The Department of Technology, Management & Budget awards contracts based on best price and value considerations rather than lowest bid alone, and may reject bids that present quality concerns or fail to meet stated requirements. Products must be carton packed for shipment. Vendors should submit detailed estimates as part of their proposals, as bids lacking this documentation will be disqualified from consideration.
