About this file

This document is a minimum specification for a length gauge measuring system to be procured by the state of Washington for Whitman County. The purpose is to obtain a Heidenhain CT 6002 Certo Length Gauge along with a gaging stand and Heidenhain display for use in the Dynamic Compression Sector (DCS) labs to accurately measure the perpendicularity of sample and/or projectile materials. This measurement is crucial for experimental quality control to ensure minimal "tilt" when projectiles impact samples. The system should allow for quick measurements to enable more experiments in a given timeframe.

The contract opportunity is for a length gauge measuring system, and the pricing terms, set asides, incumbents, funding requirements and sources, and other salient details are not provided in the document. The procurement is being managed by the state of Washington for Whitman County.

BID: HEIDENHAIN CT 6002 CERTO LENGTH GAUGE

PURPOSE

Procure a length gauge measuring system to be used in the Dynamic Compression Sector (DCS) labs for accurately measuring the perpendicularity on sample and/or projectile materials. This measurement is crucial for experimental quality control, ensuring projectiles impact samples with as minimal “tilt” as possible. Measurements should be able to be obtained quickly to allow for the most experiments to be completed in a given amount of time.

SPECIFICATIONS

• Heidenhain CT 6002 Certo Length Gauge, PN CT 6002

• Gaging Stand for Certo Gauge – Base diameter 250mm, PN CS200

• Heidenhain Display, PN ND287

• <1 micron measurement accuracy

• Intuitive/user-friendly operation

• Compact design – less than 1 sq. ft. footprint (for stand/gauge)

• Must be extended by gravity only (no motorized options)

COMPATIBILITY ISSUES

This system should be compatible with currently owned equipment such that the length gauge, stand and display may be interchangeable between the two existing WSU systems (models CT6001 and MT1281MW) along with the Los Alamos National Lab system (model CT6002) used in DCS operations.
